The ministry of YogaFaith is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul says in Romans 12:1, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” We offer the Lord this worship in both spirit and in truth with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength.
The practice of yoga does not belong to any group, or religion. Yoga is not an entity, but a practice in the same manner that Pilates, CrossFit, or Jazzercize is a practice. In its simple definition, yoga means to unite, or yoke. YogaFaith is the yoking together or uniting, of the mind, body and soul with Jesus Christ through meditation on His word, and worshiping the Lord through movement as an expression of praise and thanksgiving towards our Creator. YogaFaith is a practice that glorifies God and benefits us.
As a Christian, you will find that YogaFaith is a wonderful way to deepen your experience of worship and allow times of stillness to meditate, listen for the Lord’s voice, or simply worship. We like to think of it as prayer in motion. Non-believers alike can experience God’s presence and love, and experience an environment that welcomes them to experience a relationship with Jesus Christ.
